Europe at the mercy of terrorism, likely to be Islamist-motivated

France and Germany are prey to probable attacks from Islamic terrorism. The most serious case happened in Germany, where on Friday night a man shouted “allah u Akhbar” and stabbed several people during a party in Solingen. Eight people were injured; two men and a woman were among the three dead.
Police today are investigating and conducting searches throughout the area. A 15-year-old boy has been arrested but is not believed to be the culprit, or so reports the Welt newspaper. The investigation is still underway, but it seems unbelievable that the police did not apprehend him right away for a stabbing crime of that nature.

This, however, is not the only attack that has happened in the past few days: in France, at least two cars, one of them containing a gas cylinder, were set on fire shortly before 8:30 Saturday morning in front of the Beth Yaacov synagogue in La Grande-Motte, in the Hérault department, causing an explosion that injured a local policeman. Five people, including the synagogue’s rabbi, were inside the religious building during Shabbat, the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement at noon Saturday. Fortunately, those inside the synagogue were not injured.

Europe is therefore dealing with terrorism, probably Islamic in origin, and does not know how to react, with an increasingly confused and fearful society that wants to force itself to accept immigration from Islamic countries without doing anything to ascertain whether they are radicalized or not. Dark times await the old continent.
