Demonstration against Macron’s “coup d’état”: 26,000 people in Paris, according to police, compared with 160,000 according to organizers Some 26,000 people demonstrated in Paris Saturday in response to a call by La France insoumise, among others, to denounce Macron’s “coup d’état,” the police prefecture told AFP.

Five people were arrested for carrying prohibited weapons, throwing bullets and damaging property during the demonstration, which started from Place de la Bastille in the direction of the Nation around 2:30 p.m., police added.

Les Insoumis said they had 160,000 protesters in the capital and 300,000 throughout France.
Jean-Luc Mélenchon, leader of La France Insoumise, was present at the Paris march, along with other Insoumis MPs such as Rima Hassan and Mathilde Panot. PNF MP Danielle Simonet was also present.

In fact, the leader of La France Insoumise and one of the leaders of the NFP should be protesting against himself: if Macron can afford to do what he wants, it is because the left has agreed to make a desistance pact with the president. The leftists thought they were smarter than the others, who could have maneuvered the desistance pact behind the president’s back.

Instead, later, these politicians realized that they were simply maneuvered. That Macron used them, as Lenin would say, as “Useful Idiots” of the Macronian regime. In the end, he chose a prime minister, Michel Barnier, who is a very old fox of politics and who will lean on whomever he wants in order to achieve his goals, without disdaining the RN if necessary. Which, while not supporting the government, could achieve its goals of electoral reform and the pension system.

Now the NFP and Melenchon are protesting in the streets, but they should be protesting against themselves, their own greed and gullibility
